Yeast Symptoms - Do You Have Yeast Symptoms of Vaginal Infection?

Women of all ages, do you take remarkable pride in your physical appearance and hygenics? Do you ensure that your face is cleaned, your teeth are brushed, your hair is styled, and your body is odorless? Wonderful. How about your vagina? Do you provide it the same personal attention that you provide your outer appearance? I hope so. If you don't, let me share with you some helpful information about yeast infection and the symptoms that occur when the vagina is not cared for properly.

Yeast infections are fungus invasions of the entire body that have the potential to cause major illness. Yeast infections affect 3 out of every 4 ladies in their lifetime and most times they are persistent and repetitious. Learning how to identify yeast infection symptoms is a sure fire way of eliminating the problem before it gets too serious. In addition, you'll want to assure yourself of a fast and effective treatment. So, let me break this down even further for you.

Yeast is a true fungus, an organism that expands rapidly without roots, stems, or leaves, thrives in warm, dark, moist environments and acquires its nutrients from living matter (parasites) or dead matter (saprobes). Yeast exist in the sugar of fruits, the waste of animals, and varying parts of certain vegetables. Meaning, yeast is a natural organism that already lives in your body as long as your ph levels, hormones, and flora are in their normal conditions.

On the other hand, yeast becomes a threat to you when an overgrowth evolves. Yeast overgrowth is commonly called Candidiasis. Candidasis is a fungus that reproduces asexually in the body with diseased organisms causing infection. Yeast overgrowth can occur due to foods you eat (e.g. pretzels, rolls, donuts), antibiotics that you've used (e.g. penicillin, amoxicillin, Keflex, erythromycin), alcoholic beverages that you have used or abused (e.g. wine, beer), and some birth control methods (e.g. pills, contraceptives, IUDS).

With this data in mind, the following are some symptoms linked with yeast overgrowth and its progression: A vaginal discharge, vaginal itching, unexplained fatigue, bowel obstruction, diarrhea, a sex drive, painful intercourse, recurrent headaches/migraines, mood swings, memory loss, acne, or asthma. Sometimes, these symptoms can indicate an STD or a more serious problem. If you suffer from 3 or more of these symptoms at one time, chances are you could be a candidate for a yeast infection. Ask your healthcare provider for a fungal analysis on your next visit. The good news is there are drugs, anti-yeast diets and natural/holistic practices to help you get rid of yeast infections completely.
